How is ARONTO licensed?

 

ARONTO is offered in a number of license models;

  • Software as a Service license

  • Platform as a Service license

  • Purchase license

  • Lease license

Which database does ARONTO use?

 

ARONTO uses a commercially available relational database as its background memory for its graph DB and other data.

ARONTO is currently released for:

  • ORACLE

  • MS-SQL-Server

  • MySQL

 

Various parts of the data repository can be distributed in this way to different databases.

Does ARONTO have a client/server architecture?

 

Yes, ARONTO has two types of Internet-enabled clients:

  • Downloadable rich client with TCP/IP connection (for design, administration, and core users)

  • WEB client for browsers (for users)

Which client technology does ARONTO support? Web client? Rich client/Thin client?

Which browsers are supported by ARONTO?

Does ARONTO have its own storage and backup mechanisms?

 

 

ARONTO can back up the entire data repository or defined parts of it and transfer the data to every ARONTO server. The backups can be scheduled or can be performed by authorized users at any time. Use of the backup mechanisms of the background DB used is likewise guaranteed.

ARONTO also manages a complete, audit-proof history (who, when, what) for every artifact.

What are the hardware requirements for ARONTO?

 

Recommended minimum server requirements:

  • Processor: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU 5150 @ 2.66GHz (2 processors)

  • RAM: 16GB

  • System type: 64-bit OS

 

Recommended minimum client requirements:

  • Processor: Intel(R) Core(R) i5 CPU M430 @ 2.27GHz

  • RAM: 3GB

  • System type: 32-/64-bit OS

What are the operating system requirements for ARONTO?



The operating system has to support operation of Java VM. There are no dependencies on environment variables or system-specific UI controls.

How scalable is ARONTO? Number of users, number of transactions?


The scalability depends essentially on the server storage capacity. The number of individual elements is not a critical factor in this regard. Very large applications with several hundred users are therefore also feasible.

Is ARONTO multi-client enabled?

ARONTO has a multi-client concept in the same way as SAP. Several independent clients can be installed on an ARONTO server and can be operated in parallel, also together with various applications. Data partitioning is possible additionally within a client, based on ARONTO's integrated rights concept. Data can be exchanged without difficulty between the different clients thanks to the shared architecture and the freely definable dialog interfaces.
